Located just 10min from Dayboro this is a beautifully restored 1920’s Queensland farmhouse with unrivalled views of Lacey’s Creek valley bellow. Situated at the top of a ridgeline on an 110acre working farm with numerous walking tracks to explore and many incredible views. Heritage accommodation, with 3 bedrooms, a large family room, full kitchen and beautifully restored bathroom. Sit on your own private balcony and enjoy sunset over the valley with a ever present cool afternoon breeze. The house has just been renovated to restore it to its original glory. Enjoy 12-foot ceilings, stained glass casement windows, wood fire heater and timber floors throughout. Careful attention has been made to restore all the original hardware and window so the house feels like it would have 100 years ago. Laceys Creek station is a working farm, you can expect to see chooks and ducks scratching around the house yard, the odd escaped goat and depending on the session/stock rotation cattle close to the house. Please be aware there is no airconditioning, however as the house is located on top of a ridgeline where there is an almost constant breeze which keeps temperatures significantly lower than in town and every room has its own ceiling fan. Full access to a 3 bedroom Queenslander with private bathroom, kitchen, veranda and family room. Laceys Creek Homestead is a 1920’s farmhouse which is fully self-contained and located in close proximity (but separate) to the main residence should you have any issues. My partner and I live in the main residence next door with two very friendly whippets who may come visit if that's your thing. Rolling farmland surrounded by thick forest. Car. Like most of regional Australia, phone reception is Telstra only and somewhat patchy. With the changing climate, rainfall is not as regular as it once was. With this in mind, we ask guests to please be conscious of how much they use. Also, the house is over 100 years old farmhouse and does have a few quirky design features, one of which is the bathroom which is attached to the house but accessed via an external door (a 2-metre walk). We recommend checking the road conditions prior to travelling as the summer floods can cause some closures. Search for us on ABC for a recent article we featured in or find us on social media.
